Welcome to the web site of Canadian Friends of Boys Town Jerusalem. For 70 years, Boys Town has been educating and sustaining boys who have come from challenging life situations and has been turning out what amounts to the ‘cream of the crop’ – well educated young men, prepared to serve and protect their country, armed with the technical knowledge that is required by today’s military standards. More important, they are imbued with the rich Jewish values that provide them with self-confidence and compassion.

Canadians from coast to coast have been devoted supporters of Boys Town Jerusalem, many for more than forty years. They have made important contributions which we do not take for granted. They support the tuition and dormitory annual campaigns and they have helped develop and renew the infrastructure of the school.

Boys Town Jerusalem is well situated in the Bayit Vegan suburb of Jerusalem, just minutes from the centre of the city. Close to 960 boys are currently studying and bringing honour to the school and the vision of our founder, Rabbi Alexander S. Linchner. More than 7,000 young men have graduated from our school.

Following their IDF stint, they go on to university and go into a wide variety of professions. They are well trained to provide technical leadership to our growing country. Many remain to become career officers.

I have had the privilege of visiting Boys Town on many occasions and I encourage you to take some time, next time you are in Israel, to see how Boys Town Jerusalem contributes to the fabric of our great nation.
